Cold Spots
So there is a park near my place that back in the day was a cemetery. The city has acknowledged that there are probably in the neighborhood of 1200-1500 bodies still underground. Background: The park was a cemetery back in the 1900’s and when the city purchased the land the removal company did a shotty jump so the city decided to just lay grass and call it good.
I am not much into superstitions but have heard stories of random cold spots in the park where the temperature drops severely. Yesterday I was biking around the park at dusk and suddenly was hit by a cold front (easily a 15 - 20 degree drop) this lasted for a mere 5 - 10 seconds and then I was feeling the heat again. It is such a strange sensation to hit a cold spot. Also, the park has this very peaceful feeling to it. I do not know how to describe it but almost like a still feeling.
I have a friend whose apartment faces the park and they claim their lights flicker from time to time and they occasionally wipe child sized hand prints off their windows. I could just be creating more lore here but it was so crazy to actually feel something out of the ordinary.
One other note. I have always felt something different about the park before learning about its interesting past.
Which raises the always interesting question, do spirits exist?
